Research Reveals that Samsung Holds the Most Patents for Wearables

Between 2003 to 2014, Samsung has been able to obtain the most patents related to wearable technology with a total of 600. Research shows that Philips came in second place with around 500, LG and Canon share third and fourth place with around 450 each. When looked at by country, Japan came out on top with 27.6% of the world’s wearable patents, followed by the United States with 22.5%.

Google Releases YouTube Music Application

Google Announces YouTube Music

Google has just released their YouTube Music application into the Play Store and the Apple App Store. The application lets you choose a song to play and then Google’s algorithm will pick another one for you immediately after that one finishes (continuously). The Home tab even offers a selection of songs catered specifically for you based on the previous songs you have listened to.

Motorola Begins Marshmallow Rollout for Moto X Style and Moto X 2014

Motorola has begun the rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X Style and the Moto X 2014, in select locations, with full deployment expected in the upcoming weeks. The update is currently available to retail Moto X Style users in India and Brazil, and retail Moto X 2014 users in Brazil, with the Moto X Pure update undergoing approval and expected soon.
