Stanford Develop a Litium-ion Battery That Doesn't Explode from Overheating

Lithium-ion batteries in devices like smartphones, navigation systems and even the new hoverboard craze can explode when they overheat. A new technology, developed by Standard researchers, would actually shut these batteries off if they reach a certain temperature from being punctured, shorted out or simply overcharging. This technology would also turn the batteries back on once it reaches a safe temperature again.

Sony Announces the Xperia Z5 in Stunning Pink

Sony has officially announced the Pink variant of the Xperia Z5 and they’ve said the device will start to become available for purchase sometime in February. We aren’t given a price or an exact release date, but Sony will probably reveal that a little closer to the official release date.
